This summer, Obie award-winner Dustin Wills brings (what New York Magazine calls) his mad scientist zeal back to Williamstown to reimagine Tennessee Williams’ sprawling epic Camino Real. Set against the backdrop of 1936 Pittsburgh during the Great Depression, Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning The Piano Lesson is a testament to the complexities of family, history, and legacy. It’s the fourth in Wilson’s American Century Cycle series of plays, and the second performed at Shakespeare & Company following our award-winning production of Fences in 2023.

The Gig: After Moise and the World of Reason is inspired by the novel Moise and the World of Reason by Tennessee Williams.
