FAQ
Unfortunately, no. The Cultural Districts of the Berkshires sponsor ArtWeek by funding marketing and promotional efforts for the festival overall. Cultural Districts cannot sponsor individual events within the festival. Cultural district representatives can be reached via email to help answer questions or make changes or edits to your ArtWeek Berkshires 2022 listing if needed. Representatives should be contacted via email only.
Cultural districts cannot find spaces for artists to show or perform work. In the future, we may explore creating a page on ArtWeek Berkshires to match artist/performers with retail, restaurant, or creative establishments, but for this year we are unable to provide that service. Instead, we recommend contacting owners of sites in your town to tell them about ArtWeek and see if they are open to showing your work during some or all of the 10-day period from September 15-25, 2022.
Nope! There is no fee to participate as an artist/performer/crafter/
Yes! ArtWeek Berkshires is open to everyone who creates and lives or works in Berkshire County. No professional experience is needed and everyone from students to older adults – and everyone in between – is encouraged to show work they love!
An Open Studio lets artists invite the public into their home or workspace to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse into their work environment or process. There is no need to do a demonstration for the public – this is just another way for artists to show work if they are not connected to a gallery or public performance space.
