Rafa Esparza first used the labor-intensive process of hand-making adobe bricks in 2014. Extending the skill he learned from his father — who made adobe bricks in Mexico to sell and to build his first home — Los Angeles-based Esparza hand-made approximately 1,400 adobe bricks to cover the surface of Michael Parker’s sculpture, The Unfinished. Celebrating its 44th anniversary season, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo is the world’s foremost all-male comedy ballet company, performing both en pointe and en travesti.
