TurnPark: Exhibition Opening, Reception
Arts and Culture, Belong Berkshires, Exhibits, Family Friendly
September 13 | 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Visit TurnPark Art Space for a joint reception celebrating the exhibitions Martine Kaczynski: Daily Deviations and John Clarke: Passing Through. Enjoy artist talks and light refreshments.
* 4pm – Martine Kaczynski – Daily Deviations is a selection of work that challenges and navigates our psychological interaction with architecture and the semiotics of the constructed world. Martine Kaczynski’s work examines the unstable nature of house and home, and the fragility of our perceived status and security.
* 5pm – John Clarke – In Passing Through series, John Clarke’s works are inspired by the energy of the Massachusetts Turnpike, which abuts the property of TurnPark.
Clarke’s work seeks to uncover the visual overlap between light waves and sound waves using long-exposure photographs. The result is a fascinating exploration of vibrational energy, captured in the movements of cars and trucks passing. Proximity to the Turnpike makes this exhibit uniquely site-specific, anchoring the work to the relentless motion of the highway.
