The Mount, Edith Wharton’s Home is thrilled to announce the return of the popular winter sound and light show, NightWood, November 21, 2025 – January 3, 2026. Now in its sixth season, NightWood invites visitors to step into a fantastical landscape where music, light, and nature come together in a journey under the stars. This year’s installation features two all-new encounters, a redesigned return path, and enhanced lighting and sound elements that promise to heighten the sense of wonder. Created in collaboration with award-winning lighting designer Chris Bocchiaro of Clerestory Light, NightWood transforms The Mount’s historic grounds and gardens into a luminous winter dreamscape. NightWood’s illuminated one-mile route winds through the woods and gardens of The Mount. There will be warming stations along the way. The Mount Bookstore will be open and the NightWood Café will be serving hot chocolate, hot apple cider, beer, and wine, and seasonal treats in the Mansion forecourt. A food truck will be on-site for some of the evenings.
