Flock: Watercolor Paintings by Robin Crofut-Brittingham
October 18
Berkshire Botanical Garden is pleased to announce its upcoming art exhibition, Flock: Watercolor Paintings by Robin Crofut-Brittingham, on view from October 18 through November 30. This showcase features the original paintings from the artist’s new book, The Illuminated Book of Birds (Timber Press), alongside selected works from her broader fine art practice. Crofut-Brittingham’s work is rooted in a deep and enduring fascination with the natural world. What began as casual field notes and collected imagery evolved into a vibrant, richly layered visual archive. Her paintings explore the intersection of science and storytelling, bringing to life more than 300 hand-painted birds from around the globe with a mix of observational detail and imaginative flair. Each piece in the exhibition acts as a page of research brought to life — a poetic conversation between natural history, mythology and artistic interpretation. The result is a celebration of avian beauty and biodiversity, rendered with exceptional skill and care. Visitors are invited to experience this extraordinary body of work in person and explore the intricate, whimsical and informative world Crofut-Brittingham has created.
