Concert for Recovery: PERFORMER
Health and Wellness, Performing Arts & Entertainment
September 3 | 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Barrington Stage Company welcomes Musician, Viral social media content creator, writer, and recovery advocate Benjamin Lerner for an Addiction Recovery Benefit Concert, PERFORMER. Now sober nine years, Lerner shares the inspiring story of his hard-won recovery, bringing audiences along on an immersive journey that combines elements of rap, hip-hop, classical piano, and melodic standards. Like his great-grandfather, Irving Berlin, composer of God Bless America, Lerner believes in using words and music to make a difference, performing for communities affected by addiction. Lerner uses his music to give others hope — and let people know that recovery is possible. All proceeds from this benefit concert directly support Pittsfield-area addiction recovery and artistic organizations (Living in Recovery, George B. Crane Memorial Center, and BSC’s Musical Theatre Lab.)
