First Free Sunday and Artists’ Books Day
Arts and Culture, Exhibits, Family Friendly
April 6 | 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
The Clark Art Institute’s First Sunday Free series continues with free admission and special activities all day, coinciding with Artists’ Books Day. An annual celebration at the Clark, Artists’ Books Day honors its library’s diverse collection of over 5,000 artists’ books and provides a unique opportunity to explore these works and gain a deeper understanding of the role of artists’ books in the contemporary art world. This monumental collection challenges the very notion of the book, inviting dialogue about the boundaries of artistic and literary expression. Activities include:
11 am – 4 pm: Clark Book Expo
1 – 4 pm: Artists’ Books Art-Making Activities
2 – 4 pm: Unusual Binding and Inventive Structures Pop-Up
4 – 5 pm: Panel Discussion
10 am – 2 pm: Orientation Center Iron Coffee Co.
