Sevenars is delighted to be presenting the new Elm Chamber Ensemble, with two Sevenars returnees, violinist Joel Pitchon Pitchon  and cellist extraordinaire Volcy Pelletier. They will be joined by prizewinning Georgian-born American Yelena Beriyeva "the paragon of the concert pianist", in a stunning program, including Beethoven's magnificent Piano Trio in E-flat, Op. 70, No. 2 as a postponed commemoration of Beethoven's 250th anniversary. Pianist Jiayan Sun has been praised for jaw-dropping brilliance performances and technically flawless, poetically inspired, and immensely assured playing. Hailing from Yantai, China, he received his degrees from The Juilliard School as student of Yoheved Kaplinsky and Stephen Hough, with other mentors including Malcolm Bilson, Richard Goode, Robert Levin, and Lionel Party. This powerhouse ensemble led by violist Ariel Rudiakov and violinist Joana Genova will bring to Sevenars a magnificent program of string quartets, including Beethoven's riveting Op.18, No. 1, Rachmaninoff's stunning String Quartet No. 1, Jessie Montgomery's energizing "Strum," and a quartet by Berkshire treasure, Stephen Dankner! Joining them will be prize-winning chamber musician and Boston University faculty member Heather Braun and superb cellist Thomas Landschoot, who enjoys an international career as performer, recording artist, and pedagogue.

Alexis has performed since age 12, including a concerto appearance at The Kennedy Center and for Pope John Paul II in Rome, while Lynelle performed since age 5, appearing at 8 with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra in New Zealand and in Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center.
