Gail Gelburd’s studio is in a 1740 watermill. It straddles the river and looks out upon the waterfalls and trees. Her art is about the connections between nature and humanity. She begins with photographs, many taken from her porch, which are then layered with collage or painted upon with encaustics. Some are printed on fabric and molded into relief and life size sculptures.
