The Town of Great Barrington W.E.B. Du Bois Legacy Committee announces the 7th Annual W.E.B. Legacy Festival in honor of the birthday of native son Dr. W.E.B. Du Bois, with special events taking place during February and early March.
Feb. 19 at 7:00 pm: A Celebration of Soul with Ursula Rucker at Bard College
Feb. 21 at 5:00 pm: Keynote address by Dr. Suraj Yengde (location to be announced)
Feb. 22 at 5:30 pm: The Du Bois Freedom Center hosts an evening with renowned speakers at St. James Church
Feb. 23 at 6:30 pm: CONTRA-TIEMPO at Zion Lutheran Church
Feb. 24 at 2:00 pm: BRIDGE hosts a celebration of Du Bois’ Haitian Heritage at United Universalist Meeting of Southern Berkshire
Feb. 25 at 11:00 am: Worship in honor of Du Bois at Macedonia Baptist Church
Mar. 6: special program for middle school students
