Shaker Supper Series
Food and Drinks, History and Heritage
May 8 | 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The popular Shaker Supper series will return to Hancock Shaker Village for the 2025 season. The four-part series includes special presentations from a variety of compelling Shaker experts sharing their unique perspectives on the many fascinating ways the Shakers lived and thrived throughout the years. Depending on the discussion topic, short tours of the historic buildings or gardens will of be part of the experience. Following the program, a local Berkshire chef will serve a special dinner inspired by authentic Shaker recipes featuring fresh meat and produce (many of which come from the Village’s very own farm). Each Shaker Supper promises to be a true farm-to-table experience – just as it would have been for the Shakers. The first supper on May 8 will be located in the dining room of the historic 1830 Brick Dwelling where the Shakers enjoyed their daily communal meals. Kathleen Lynch, Curator & Collections Director, will join Deb Carter & Joanie Ciolfi, two of the featured artists exhibiting this season at the Village, giving a presentation on “Couture from the World” inspired by Shaker iconic design elements.
