Jacob’s Pillow invites you to four days of vibrant, community-centered events in Pittsfield—all free and open to everyone! Led by internationally renowned choreographer Sekou McMiller and artistic collaborators Adriel Flete, Miriam Gallardo, and percussionist Khary Kamau, this multi-day residency celebrates the joy of movement, music, and connection. Inspired by the traditions of the African Diaspora, participants will explore the rich traditions of parades, rituals, and celebrations from around the world—from Mardi Gras in New Orleans to Carnival in Trinidad, Salsa dance parties, and beyond. These intergenerational workshops invite participants of all ages to join in celebration and learning through music and dance. See the Event Website to register for your choice of events.
