Hot Plate is teaming up with our friends from Potency to bring you a monthly series of independent, original artists who will be sharing their incredible work with you in the taproom. Inventive and surprising, A Day Without Love crosses so many genres that it’s hard to pin down their sound exactly, except to say that it’s everything we love about independent artists. With catchy arrangements and familiar tonality, A Day Without Love reminds us of the days when we were excited to discover—and share—music that made us stop and pay attention, rather than having the algorithm feed us more of the same old same old. Along with the DIY aesthetic, their lyrics are earnest in a refreshing way, and conversational in the way that all good art should feel both personal and like it’s talking to you. We’re so excited to see how they translate their recorded songs into a live performance, and we have a feeling it’ll be even more exciting to this act live.
