Mother’s Day at the Clark
May 11 | 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
The Clark Art Institute hosts art-making, gallery engagement, outdoor exploration, and a special pop-up exhibition all celebrating mothers and maternal love. Visit the Manton Study Center for Works on Paper to view a specially curated selection of prints, drawings, and photographs depicting the many facets of motherhood. From intimate sketches to bold prints, each piece reflects the strength, resilience, tenderness, and joy that define the journey of being a mother. Drop in at the Clark Center and try your hand at button-making as you explore personal, family, and community values, all expressed through the art of the button! Take part in an interactive engagement in the permanent collection galleries focused on expanding our ideas about representation of care, provision, protection, and more. This educator-led experience is great for small groups and visitors of all ages. As always, throughout the day, enjoy a walk on the Clark’s 140+ acre campus as spring settles into the earth.
