Chainsaw Skills Workshop

This workshop taught by certified arborist Melissa LeVangie is designed for the novice to beginner chainsaw operator. The class will combine lecture and hands-on learning. Topics will include personal protective equipment, the anatomy of a chainsaw, reactive forces, basic chainsaw maintenance and additional tools for use with a chainsaw. Attendees will learn essential techniques and safety features and practices before cutting logs on the ground and/or elevated on sawhorses. No experience or equipment necessary.
