Legacies of the Black Berkshires: An Evening in Honor of David Levering Lewis
Arts and Culture, Diversity and Inclusion, Performing Arts & Entertainment

Join Great Barrington’s Du Bois Freedom Center and the Du Bois Forum for an evening in honor of Pulitzer Prize-winning W. E. B. Du Bois biographer and historian Dr. David Levering Lewis. Scholars and artists will gather to reflect upon the impact of Dr. Lewis’ scholarship and public engagement. The evening includes:
* 4:30 pm: PillowTalk at Blake’s Barn (free)
* 6:00 pm: Performance by waheedworks on the outdoor Henry J. Leir Stage (Choose What You Pay, registration required)
* 7:30 pm: Seated dinner in our Restaurant Tent, featuring a Du Bois-inspired menu created by James Beard award-winning chef Bryant Terry, author of Black Food (advance registration required; limited availability. The dinner also features a performance by Lecolion Washington and the Community Music Center of Boston.
