June 15 | 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Join NAACP Berkshires for this year’s Juneteenth Celebration—honoring Black independence, resilience, and culture—beginning with the raising of the Juneteenth flag and the reading of proclamations at Pittsfield City Hall, followed by a Freedom Walk to Durant Park. Once at Durant Park, the day-long festival kicks off at noon with food, entertainment, vendors, and community partners. The celebration includes a reading of the Juneteenth Proclamation; student scholarship presentations; and the unveiling of a mural honoring the 54th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment – the first volunteer Black regiment raised in the North. Entertainment and family activities will also be available. Free to all!
