This drawing class will begin with the basic techniques for drawing 3D objects using perspective, composition, and shading. We start with simple forms and will work with single objects and still lifes utilizing different rendering styles. We will continue with natural world including plants and landscape, also involving more complex composition and perspective. The next stage will cover portrait drawing including self-portraits, then we will do figure drawing and study the draping of clothing. There will be a live model for the final two classes in the session. Students will need to bring H, HB, B & 2B Graphite Pencils, a Kneaded Eraser, and an 11×17 Drawing Pad.
