Faust

Arts and Culture, Performing Arts & Entertainment

August 30 | 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

It’s the original “Faustian bargain” — old Dr. Faust sells his soul to the devil to be young again. But his decision has devastating consequences. This story of tragedy and redemption is Gounod’s masterpiece, and it stands at the summit of French romantic opera. Surging with memorable and timeless music, it has remained one of the world’s most popular operas ever since its premiere. Sung in French with projected English translations. Purchase before April 3 to take advantage of early-bird pricing. Free pre-performance talk on Saturday, August 24 with dramaturg Cori Ellison.
