Drawing American Stories: NRM

Berkshire250, Class, Workshop, and Open Studios

  • August 12 | 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm on Wednesdays

In this four-session class, participants will be introduced to the fundamental elements of drawing practice. The “classroom” will be the galleries of American Stories: From Revolution to Rockwell, the Museum’s summer exhibition commemorating the 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding. Each class will focus on exploring and trying a single drawing technique utilized by the various artists on view. This process of studying and working directly from the work of other artists is one of the most time-honored ways artists have educated themselves and developed their technical skills. Materials are included, or bring your own sketchbook. Recommended for ages 16+
