UnBroken: Award-Winning Holocaust Documentary

July 29 | 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Award-winning documentary feature film, UnBroken, will screen in Pittsfield, as part of the Berkshire Jewish Film Festival.  UnBroken is a true story which chronicles the plight of the seven Weber siblings who, following their mother’s murder at Auschwitz, evaded certain capture and death as mere children in wartorn Nazi Germany. After being hidden in a laundry hut by a benevolent farmer and his wife, the children spent two harrowing years on their own. Emboldened by their father’s mandate that they ‘always stay together,’ their saga culminates in a painful ultimatum: for that which would save them, would also tear them apart. Director Beth Lane will appear on Zoom for an audience Q&A following the screening. Lane is the daughter of Ginger Lane, the youngest of the Weber siblings.
