The Django Festival Allstars

Arts and Culture, Performing Arts & Entertainment

June 16 | 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The Django Festival Allstars return to the Berkshires for a special Father’s Day concert on Sunday, June 16, spearheaded by the masterful accordion of Ludovic Beier. Django Reinhardt’s unmistakable cool and jumpin’ joie de vivre have made him an icon for an unlikely range of luminaries from Carlos Santana to Eric Clapton. 70+ years after his massing, he is still a household name around the world, and his music is still the rage. Jimi Hendrix named his big band of gypsies in tribute, and Willie Nelson adopted his influence in country-swing. The Django Festival Allstars have grown into a brilliantly cohesive group of star musicians who have taken America by storm, performing at top concert halls and festivals to standing ovations. The band performed to a sold-out house last November in Pittsfield, and are back by popular demand.
