Confessions of a Yiddish Writer: The Life and Work of Chava Rosenfarb

Arts and Culture, Class, Workshop, and Open Studios, History and Heritage, Online Event

January 31 | 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm on Wednesdays

$75 – $100

Join us online for a new course, “Confessions of a Yiddish Writer: The Life and Work of Chava Rosenfarb.” Rosenfarb, a major Yiddish novelist, essayist, and short story writer, was one of the few writers to compose fiction about the Holocaust in Yiddish. A survivor of Auschwitz and Bergen-Belson, her works remain essential reading on World War II-era and postwar Jewish life. This course is taught by Seb Schulman, director of special projects and partnerships at the Yiddish Book Center, and Rosenfarb’s daughter and translator, Goldie Morgentaler. All sessions will be held live via Zoom and recordings will be made available to registrants. No knowledge of Yiddish is required.
