Handbuilding: Winter White Mugs

Class, Workshop, and Open Studios

  • May 19 | 9:30 am - 12:30 pm on Tuesdays

Capturing the beauty of the many warm and cool whites of snow as the sun and shade shift, we will learn to use a myriad of different white or neutral slips, underglaze, terra sigillata, and glaze for our surface effects. Patchwork texture and an emphasis on the seams, created in the making process, will give added interest to our vessels. Beginners are welcome. (Note: if you want to add splashes of color you certainly can!) Students should use White Clay for this class.
