On what would have been the Saturday night of the 10th annual FreshGrass Festival, FreshGrass presents two extraordinary artists who have become part of the family this past decade. Mandolin virtuoso, Punch Brother frontman, and Grammy Award-winner Chris Thile's boundary-breaking ruckus lights up the concert courtyard, while Dom Flemons — a fellow Grammy-winner and co-founder of the Carolina Chocolate Drops — resurrects early Americana sounds once lost to time. It's sure to be a string-filled, folk-drenched night of bluegrass.

For this inaugural program of Soundings: New Music at the Clark, the Parker Quartet and percussionist Ayano Kataoka will perform works by J.S. Bach, Béla Bartók, Ludwig van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, Jacob Druckman, Michio Mitazume, and Stuart Saunders Smith. Guests are welcome to bring a blanket and enjoy a picnic out on the grounds before the concert begins! Food is available for purchase at Café 7 until 3PM. Advance registration is required.
