Berkshire Family Hikes at The Clark Art Fall in Love with Fall in the Berkshires
Autumn is here, and fall foliage is back! The 66th Annual Fall Foliage Parade in North Adams beckons in the season on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 1:00pm. This year’s whimsical theme is Holidays on Parade! Come celebrate all your favorite holidays, from Valentine’s Day to National Ice Cream Day to Halloween and everything in between! The Fall Foliage Parade is a festive way to experience the Berkshires’ unique and diverse community.
Get to know other Berkshire communities when you walk or bike the 12.7 mile Ashuwillticook Rail Trail. This old railroad track, converted into a paved, level path, runs through the towns of Cheshire, Lanesborough, and Adams. Suitable for all ages and abilities, the trail offers exquisite views of fall foliage at its most dramatic. Stop for a picnic, indulge in bird-watching or fishing, or just take in the autumn colors!
Speaking of autumn colors, see their glorious reflection in the pristine waters of Onota Lake when you rent a boat from Onota Boat Livery. If you’re feeling adventurous and longing for magnificent, birds-eye views of the panoply of fall colors, charter a scenic flight with Berkshire Aviation Enterprise at the Great Barrington Airport. Book an hour or half-hour trip. Know someone with an autumn birthday? Give them a memory they’ll always cherish with a gift certificate to experience the beauty of the Berkshires fall foliage in their own private aerial tour! Another adrenaline-fueled way to see fall color is zipping along America’s longest zipline at Catamount Mountain Resort. Own bikes? Bring them along and tackle one of Berkshire Bike & Board’s many cycling routes.

Whether by land, water, or air, don’t miss your chance this season to explore and celebrate the unique autumn beauty of the Berkshires! Find more ideas here and be inspired to book your Berkshire getaway today:
