Artist and hospitality veteran Scott Edward Cole and his partner Frank Muytjens (former head of menswear at J. Crew), recently opened the five-room Inn at Kenmore Hall in Richmond, Massachusetts. The beautifully restored Georgian-Federalist style home, set in 20 acres of meadows and woodlands, was built in 1792 for Henry Sherrill, an American Revolutionary War soldier who came to the area as a refugee from Long Island. The house went through various incarnations, including a boarding school and artist retreat, before the pair signed on last year to turn Kenmore Hall (and the adjacent carriage guest house cottage) into a welcoming bed and breakfast imbued with personal touches and understated luxury.
