The Berkshires Teems with Cultural and Historical Attractions

Have your group take a tour of the Mount.From the study window of his farmhouse in the Berkshires, Herman Melville enjoyed a view of Mount Greylock. At 3,941 feet, Greylock is the highest point in Massachusetts. Its whale-like shape is said to have inspired his writing of Moby-Dick, one of the many works Melville penned while he and his large family lived at Arrowhead Farm from 1850 to 1863.
