Scott Shortt, Kemble Inn & Table Six Restaurant

Scott-ShorttSince the early 1990’s, Scott’s long term goal had been to build a successful hospitality business of small luxury properties within a moderate distance to major urban centers.  In June 2010 that dream started to become realized with the purchase the Kemble Inn, which Scott is transforming into a boutique hotel and restaurant in Lenox. 

Underpinning Scott’s career are undergraduate business studies and his first company – a 12-person graphic design and Internet marketing firm he founded at the age of 17, for which he won several entrepreneurial awards.  Scott enjoys cooking, having studied at the French Culinary Institute in New York, and spent time working in a large catering kitchen to get an inside feel for the business.  Scott regularly guest lectures to the undergraduate business students at the Queen’s University, in Kingston Ontario.

For over a decade, Scott has been a consultant for executive management at Fortune 500 companies, having developed a reputation for bottom-line results with some the world’s largest telecommunications and financial and insurance services companies. Scott continues to provide leadership and consulting to Fortune 500 companies while enjoying his inspirational “Town & Country” life – balancing his time between the scenic Berkshires and bustling Manhattan.
