Spring Break

With weather warming it’s time to get the kids out of the house and involved in some Spring Break fun! Visit a museum with hands-on activities, explore outdoors in nature, visit the newborn baby farm animals, or take a family hike. It’s time to embrace Spring in the Berkshires.

Berkshire Botanical Garden Spring Break Camp
Enjoy early spring in the Garden for fun, friends, and gardening. Come help us prepare the garden for the growing season. Participants will start seeds, make maple syrup, turn compost, create botanical crafts and more! Two age groupings available. Planters: Ages 5-7 and Harvesters: Ages 8-10. Space is very limited due to COVID regulations 8AM – 3PM. April 19 – April 23.

Baby Animals at Hancock Shaker Village
Baby Animals, a celebration of new life on the farm and the opening day of our spring season. Meet and greet the animals in the Round Stone Barn, tour the historic village, and enjoy a wide range of activities. Opening April 17.

Maple Season at Ioka Valley Farm
Serving Delicious Homemade Pancake, Waffle & French toast meals in our Calf-A with our own Maple Syrup. Tour the Sugarhouse to see how Maple Syrup is made! Saturday & Sunday, 8AM – 3PM

Kidspace MOCA
Kidspace is a child-centered art gallery and hands-on studio presenting exhibitions and educational experiences in collaboration with leading artists.

Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory and Gardens

Spring Explorers Vacation Week at Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary
Spring is a great time to experience the natural world as plants and wildlife awaken, energized and full of life. Explore our forests, ponds, and wetlands for new plant growth, early bird arrivals, and emerging amphibians and reptiles. 9AM – 3PM. April 19 – 23

Norman Rockwell Museum
Family friendly scavenger hunts in the galleries and outside on the grounds turn the Museum going experience into an adventure. See website for more details.

April 22
Celebrate Earth Day at The Clark
Join Clark educators for ninety-minute outdoor experiences that will inspire you to write, draw, move, and more as you explore the unique natural settings of the Ground/work exhibition. All participants will be provided with a blank “field journal” and pencil to record their thoughts and creations. Open to all ages. Space is limited. 10:30AM – 12PM & 1PM – 2:30PM

Summer Camp Opportunities

Berkshire Summer Camps offer a wide range of programs, from team and water sports to visual and performing arts, each offering their own variety of adventure, activities, and camp traditions. Bard College at Simon’s Rock Young Writer’s Workshop
Innovative 3-week residential creative writing program for high school students on a college campus, taught by college professors for students currently completing grades, 9, 10 & 11. July 11 – 31.

Belvoir Terrace, A Visual & Performing Arts Camp
Campers grades 2-10 follow an exciting, all-elective, educational program in art, dance, music, theater, and individual sports. NEW this year, Belvoir Ballet debuts a 5-week program providing unparalleled training from Artistic Director Dena Abergel and her colleagues. June 27 – August 1

Adventures in Music at Berkshire Music School
Designed for young music lovers, Adventures in Music gives your budding musician a solid foundation in making music in a fun, engaging atmosphere. Group classes in world music, chorus, and creative movement on the tented lawn of BMS’s historic campus, as well as small group workshops in piano, ukulele, and visual arts. July 5-16 (Ages 5-9); July 19-30 (Ages 10-13)

Berkshire Nature Camp at Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary
Campers ages 3-13 have fun and make friends as they discover nature! Trail explorations, wildlife observation, outdoor play, hands-on activities, games, and crafts keep campers engaged throughout the summer. No 2 days are the same! June 28 – August 27

Berkshire Soccer Academy for Girls
Girls overnight camp infuses balance & fun into a world-class soccer camp experience providing elite training with top facilities on a beautiful lake. June 20 – August 13

Camp Greylock
Offering campers a structured program combining game play and teaching in all major land sports, waterfront activities, nature/adventure, and the arts. June 25 – August 13

Camp Half Moon
Traditional co-ed summer camp on Lake Buel for children ages 3 -15. Offering both day and overnight camps. Campers participate in sports, arts, adventure and more. Come join in the fun! June 21 – August 13

Camp Lenox

Camp Romaca for Girls
Located on 150 acres close to Plunkett Lake, campers, ages 6 – 16, develop their full potential with programs in tennis, aquatics, sailing, skiing, land sports, cultural trips, riding & more. June – August.

Camp Watitoh
Warm, family-oriented coed camp on crystal-clear Center Lake for children ages 7 – 16. From land sports to water activities to arts and adventure, campers feel the spirit, camaraderie, and build friendships to last a lifetime. June 26 – August 13

Camp Winadu
A premier boys sports camp, Camp Winadu offers all land & water sports along with outdoor adventure, arts & hobbies and an ice hockey program. June 26 – August 13

Eisner & Crane Lake Camps
Reform Jewish overnight camps for grades 2-12, offering athletics, waterfront activities, creative arts, and so much more. In an inclusive and welcoming environment, campers gain confidence, make lifelong friends, and have fun! June 27 – August 15

Flying Cloud Institute
S●M●Art Studio Programs for kids ages 6 – 14 at campuses located in Egremont & New Marlborough. Activities may include ceramics, chemistry, painting, drawing and sculpture to horticulture, robotics, environmental studies, music, dance, digital photography and more. June 28 – July 30.
