See You at the Movies!

Welcome to the exciting 2013 annual Berkshire International Film Festival.  After our tremendous 7th anniversary year, we will once again build on our success to bring the Berkshire community and audience a festival that will entertain, challenge, engage, inspire and amaze us.  Good filmmaking is synonymous with good storytelling and the stories our filmmakers are sharing with us are wonderful and heroic.  We love film because it takes us places physically, visually and emotionally and connects us to the world, near and far, while staying in our own backyard.  At the BIFF, we continue to be amazed at the amount of inspired filmmaking that is being created and we love to celebrate those filmmakers who share their stories and their talent.  BIFF will take you around the world on journeys to Afghanistan, Cambodia, Australia, Japan, Peru, England, France, Iran, Chile, Africa, Greece – over 16 countries in all, as well as films from the Berkshire community.  We have programmed an incredible array of films dealing with complex subjects: politics, activism, the environment, family dynamics and of course, love.  BIFF will showcase over 70 films, featuring the best in independent narrative, documentaries and short film during the past year.  In addition, BIFF will play host to dozens of filmmakers and industry professionals including Karen Allen, Chris Noth, Mary Kay Place, Peter Riegert, Kent Jones and Sam Harper.

BIFF has become the festival of choice for filmmakers and film lovers who are seeking a unique Berkshire experience and a place to indulge their passion for film. With over 3,000+ people in attendance, the Festival connects audiences to compelling documentaries, award-winning international releases with incredible parties and events, all just a short drive from New York City or Boston. Films and events will be held throughout both Great Barrington and Pittsfield, including the Triplex Cinema, the historic Mahaiwe Theatre, the Beacon Cinema and area restaurants.

BIFF will announce the full line-up of films on Friday, April 26th and single tickets will also be on sale at that time.  Passes are on sale now, with the All-Access Pass sold out.  Please visit our website at for more information and all the up-to-date information on the 8th annual Berkshire International Film Festival.  We look forward to seeing you at the movies!
