If you are seeking a unique and inevitably fun way to spend some time with someone, whether it’s family, friends, a group of co-workers or that special someone, a night of painting with Berkshire Paint and Sip could be the perfect way to spend some time together.
Berkshire Paint and Sip is an art studio located on North Street in Pittsfield. The studio offers its customers both intensive art classes, where the instructor utilizes her skills as a fine artist to help others advance their skills or you can attend one of their night events where participants are led by a professional instructor from start to finish. At these guided events, guests complete a painting and leave with a piece of art that they created and are proud to hang on their wall.
Owner/Artist Michelle Iglesias has created a “fun and creative” atmosphere where even the most novice painter can bring home a finished painting that they can take pride in. Most events are BYOB, but they also host events that have a cash bar, which only adds to the enjoyment of the night. You can visit the website to find out about upcoming events and get a sneak peek at the image that you’ll be learning to create.

The night that I participated in a Berkshire Paint and Sip’s event, I arrived with my sister in law, and a good bottle of organic red wine. We were warmly greeted by Michelle and she instantly made us feel comfortable as we found our way to seats that were all ready with easels and paints. Other guests arrived as we put our aprons on and poured ourselves a glass of wine. When everyone had taken their seats Michelle began giving us step by step instructions and with much laughter and wonderful conversation, my canvas slowly became a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Iglesias’ charismatic personality and generous compliments allow the painter to feel accomplished and her humor ensures more than a few good laughs along the way.
Berkshire Paint and Sip has become a popular location for events such as fundraisers, bachelorette parties, birthdays, and family gatherings. You can book a gathering by calling or emailing the studio for available dates. Iglesias indicates that she does as much business at the studio, as she does at off-site locations, where she basically brings her studio to a location of your choice. Whether it is for fun, to learn how to paint, or to spend some quality time with someone, Berkshire Paint and Sip can be a fantastic way to create some pleasurable memories to last a lifetime!
