If you’ve ever sought out Danish or Mid-Century Modern furnishings, you may already be a repeat customer at Circa, a popular local shop in downtown Pittsfield. Enthusiastic collectors of these styles have been known to travel long distances to visit this impressive store in the Berkshires when they are seeking a distinctive lamp, or piece of furniture to add to their collections. Or you may have just been driving down the downtown area and spotted one of owner Rebecca Barnini’s fantastic window displays. Her eye-catching storefront beckons to customers to discover what other treasures they’ll find within.
Recently, I stopped in to find something new to hang on my wall. I can always count on Circa to have new pieces that I will invariably find myself ‘needing.’ They are known for carrying distinctive pieces of furniture that can transform a space from ordinary to amazing in an instant. Whether it’s a Mid-Century Scoop chair or a sculptural floor lamp, you’ll be adding a touch of big city style to your home with something from this store. In addition to furniture and lighting, they also carry eclectic pieces to help decorate your home, and some wonderful local art and other goods. They are constantly restocking their inventory and have a wonderful website that displays most of their goods. However you decide to shop at Circa, whether in the store or online you are sure to find something from the past that will brighten your home well into the future.
