Ten Days of Play at Berkshire Museum
Create, improvise, and learn as Ten Days of Play returns for its eighth year! This year’s festival features nearly 40 hours of child-directed play time plus hands-on activities and special performances. February 14 – 23.

Canterbury Farm Cross Country Skiing
Snowshoeing, Ice Skating and Cross Country Skiing on 22 kilometers of groomed and tracked ski trails.

Camp Humane at Berkshire Humane Society
Camp Humane is a day camp focusing on well-being of animals from our local homeless pets to the local wildlife around us. At its core, camp is designed to teach children the meaning of responsible pet ownership. Grades 4 – 6. 9AM – 3PM. February 17 – 21.

Ioka Valley Farm Calf-A
Visit our Calf-A for fresh maple syrup on a stack of homemade buttermilk or blueberry pancakes with an order of our homemade applesauce or mini corn muffins with our scrumptious maple butter. 8AM – 12:30PM. February 17 – 21

Kids Creature Creation Art Camp at Berkshire Paint and Sip
Join us at Berkshire Paint and Sip during the Winter school break for our week-long program where kids learn to create adorable creations. Two sessions available for Grades 1-4 (10:30 – 11:30AM) and Grade 4-6 (12:30 – 2PM). Sign up is available for individual days or for the full week at a discounted price. February 17 – 21.

Vacation Camp – Winter Woodland Adventure at IS183 Art School
Join us for a creative winter woodland adventure! Learn about our many forest friends and how they stay cozy through the snowy season. Have fun exploring interactive drawing techniques as we learn about bear hibernation, create a one-of-a-kind woodland plushie, and paint our own winter village. We’ll even create clay animals to hibernate inside handcrafted wet felted dens. 9:30AM – 3:30PM.  February 17 – 21

Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort
In addition to skiing and snowboarding, Jiminy offers The Fire & FunZone featuring a fire pit where you can make your own S’mores and classic games like Table Jenga, giant Connect Four, Kan Jam, Yard Yahtzee and more.

Visit 3000+ dancing butterflies in an indoor tropical garden!

MASS MoCA Kidspace
Kidspace is a child-centered art gallery and hands-on studio presenting exhibitions and educational experiences in collaboration with leading artists.

MASS MoCA on Ice!
Bring your own skates for ice skating in Courtyard A! Wednesday – Monday, 12PM – 5PM.

MCLA Baseball Winter Clinic
The MCLA Baseball program will host their annual Winter Clinic, under the direction of Head Coach Mike Gladu, members of his coaching staff, and the Trailblazer players. The Clinic, open to children ages 8 -12, runs daily 9am – 2pm providing individualized instruction, with an emphasis on improving each player’s skill level. Each participant will learn different drills stressing the game’s fundamentals. February 18 – 21.

Norman Rockwell Museum Sketch Club – Digital Days: Personal Geographie
Create images with digital technology inspired by images from the Finding Home exhibit. Who are we, where are we going, and how can we show it in an image? This class encourages experimentation and skill development using iPads (provided). Ages 7+. 10AM – 11:30AM. February 17 – 21

Norman Rockwell Museum Drop-In Art Program – Journeys, Perspective, and Storytelling
Enjoy this fun-filled week of drop-in art activities for all ages. Each day will feature close looking at images, style, and technique of an artist on view starting with Rockwell’s Day In The Life of a Girl. Explore the themes, journey, and perspective; then create an image that tells a personal story. 1PM – 4PM. February 17 – 21

Winter Adventure Vacation Week, Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary
Vacation Week at Mass Audubon’s Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary are packed with nature exploration and hands-on learning outside the classroom. Sign up for one, two, three, four, or all five days. Learn about wildlife that stays active in the cold and snow, and the adaptations that enable them to survive. Depending on the conditions, we’ll build snow shelters and snowshoe or hike to ‘‘secret” parts of the sanctuary. Ages 7-12. February 17 – 21.

Ski Butternut
Butternut ‘s Adventurers & miniRIDERS Kids Program. Whether just learning, or aspiring to conquer the mountain, our half and full day kid’s programs are fun for all levels. Skiers & Snowboarders ages 4-13 years.

Bubble Trouble with Jeff Boyer at Berkshire Museum
A bubble volcano. Bubble roller coaster. A kid in a bubble? Jeff Boyer takes bubbles to the max in this one-man bubble extravaganza. It’s the most creative bubble show around. Jeff juggles bubbles, sculpts and builds with bubbles, makes fog-filled bubbles and more. Mixing comedy, music and interactive bubble-magic, he engages and delights audiences of all ages. 11AM – 1PM

Cinematics for Families
Tanglewood Learning Institute presents a wide variety of short files from all over the world and related hands-on activities for children ages 5-14. Presented in collaboration with BIFF, Mass Audubon’s Pleasant Valley Sanctuary, and Norman Rockwell Museum. $12 adults; $6 for 17 and under. 10AM – 12PM.

Free Public Skating
The City of Pittsfield Recreation Program and the Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires invite the first 100 people through the door during the Public Skate at the Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires to free admission for skating as well as free skate rental (limited size availability) if needed. 3:30PM – 5PM

February 16
The Big Chill at Hancock Shaker Village
Enjoy a day of fun outdoor activities for the whole family, including horse-drawn wagon rides, snowperson making, tree tapping, snowshoeing, a roaring fire, live music, and more. All activities included in admission: adults $20, youth (ages 13-17) $8, and kids 12 and under FREE. Food and drink will be available for purchase. 11Am – 5PM

February 17
Records and Burpee Zoo Show at Berkshire Museum
Meet live animals from the Records and Burpee Zoo and learn about their adaptations, how they survive in the wild, and the consequences of keeping wild animals as pets. 11PM & 1PM.

February 18
Berkshire Music School’s Instrument Petting Zoo at Berkshire Museum
See, touch, play, and hear at Berkshire Museum with a variety of musical instruments with the Berkshire Music School. Included with regular Museum admission. 1PM

Family Night at Catamount
Family skiing just got better … Saturday nights are fun and affordable for family and friends! Lift tickets, rentals and lessons are all discounted. Live music will be featured in the Fall Line Restaurant on Family Nights.

Free Public Skating
The City of Pittsfield Recreation Program and the Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires invite the first 100 people through the door during the Public Skate at the Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires to free admission for skating as well as free skate rental (limited size availability) if needed. 1PM – 2:30PM

Family Sunset Ski & S’mores at Notchview
Enjoy a winter sunset at Notchview on snowshoes or skis followed by s’mores at the lodge! Sunset is at 5:28PM so be sure to arrive by 4PM to get your rental equipment, afternoon ski pass, and hit the trails before heading back to the lodge for 5:30PM and enjoy s’mores at our bonfire outside. Please register ahead of time. 4PM – 6:30PM

Berkshire Children’s Theater Presents Disney’s Winnie the Pooh
The talented young performers of Berkshire Children’s Theater return to Berkshire Museum to perform their original musical version of the classic story Winnie the Pooh under the direction of Kara Demler. 11AM & 1PM

February 22
Magic Tree House: Pirates Past Noon, at The Colonial Theatre
Magic Tree House: Pirates Past Noon is an adaptation of the fourth of Mary Pope Osborne’s award-winning fantasy adventure books from the Magic Tree House book series. Jack and Annie return to visit the magic tree house on a dreary, rainy day. They find a book where the sun is shining and the waves are crashing, so they wish to travel to this tropical place. It’s up to Jack and Annie to find their way back to the tree house and make their way home. 2PM – 3PM.

Bring the family to the Mount Greylock State Reservation Visitors Center for an afternoon of winter activities, including snow tubing for the little ones, a Snowshoe demonstration by NeviTREK Handmade Snowshoes, and a self-guided hike along the Bradley Farm Trail! It’s a Winter Wonderland of family-friendly activities not to be missed! 11AM – 1PM
