The Mount, Edith Wharton’s Home, is excited to present its third year of NightWood, an innovative outdoor sound and light experience that immerses visitors in a fantastical winter landscape. Inspired by The Mount’s unique setting, NightWood combines scenic elements, theatrical lighting, and a dramatic score to create eight unique scenes that evoke wonder and awaken the imagination. The Mount is once again collaborating with designer Chris Bocchario of Clerestory Light to create this year’s show. Building upon last year’s captivating scenes, Bocchario has expanded the experience with revised soundscapes and three new installations; The Pool, The Glass Garden, and The Heart of the Forest. NightWood runs November 11 – January 1, with timed entries starting at 5:00 pm. Admission is limited each night. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made at EdithWharton.org or by calling 413-551-5100. Warm beverages and light refreshments will be available for purchase in the walled courtyard.
