Virtual: Mr. Noble Melancholy

April 23 @ 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Join the Berkshire County Historical Society and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Berkshire Community College (OLLI) as we present “Mr. Noble Melancholy”, starring John Trainor as Nathaniel Hawthorne. A virtual event, viewers will step into the North Parlor at Arrowhead to hear from Herman Melville’s friend and mentor, Nathaniel Hawthorne as he shares thoughts about his life, friends, writing career, and his brief sojourn in Berkshire County in the “little red cottage” for 18 months of his life. Following the hour-long performance, there will be a Q&A period with Trainor, and playwrights Karel Fisher and Maryanne Sherman. Contact [email protected] for Zoom link.
