On Artists and Their Books: Miko McGinty in Conversation

October 2, 2019 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Miko McGinty is a graphic designer specializing in art books who has worked with the Guggenheim Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Morgan Library & Museum, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, among others. Most recently, she designed the catalogue for Martin Puryear’s 2019 U.S. Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, Martin Puryear: Liberty/Libertà. In conjunction with Art’s Biggest Stage: Collecting the Venice Biennale, 2007–2019, and in conversation with Associate Curator of Contemporary Projects Robert Wiesenberger, McGinty discusses the nexus of artists and books—both the artist’s books that appear in the Clark’s exhibition and the experience of working with artists such as Puryear to capture their work in print.
