Member Rare Books Talk: In Living Color

September 10, 2019 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Today, we think nothing of seeing color images in printed material or on the screen. In fact, it is the black-and-white image that sometimes gives us pause. However, there was a time when color set a publication apart. Drawing from exquisite examples in the Clark library, Collections Development Librarian Terri Boccia looks at a variety of techniques used to create color illustrations over the centuries.

PLEASE NOTE: Reservations are required for all member events unless specified otherwise. Due to security regulations and the sensitive nature of works in our collection, we cannot accept walk-ins.
