The Nashville-based Adia Victoria treats the blues like a matter of life and death for her — as NPR put it, she’s “redefining what it means to be a Southern blueswoman — that’s a wily, radical and thoroughly contemporary role.” Or, as Victoria tells The New York Times, “I want to make the blues dangerous again.” We’re throwing caution to the wind for this one.
