Featured Chef: Dan Smith of John Andrews
Dan Smith has been the chef-owner of John Andrews Farmhouse Restaurant, creating regional cuisine for close to 25 years, long before farm-to-table was a trend. In 2013, his restaurant was named World’s 25 Best Farmstead Experiences by The Daily Meal. Smith’s longstanding commitment to fresh, local food is the starting point for his menus. He works with local farmers and food producers, develops his menu around their products and is inspired by the ingredients they bring to his kitchen door. In addition, he maintains a garden on the property, which supplies additional produce for the restaurant. Located in a stunning setting in the countryside surrounded by beautifully landscaped perennial gardens, John Andrews Farmhouse has been awarded the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence and the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.

Featured Product: Coffee from No. Six Depot Roastery & Cafe
At No. Six Depot Roastery they roast by hand, not by computer profile. Each bean and each crop is different, so they treat each batch as if cooking a meal — using eye, ear, nose, experience and some creative experimentation. Their goal is to bring out the unique regional qualities in each bean. The last step in their process is taste–every batch they roast is cupped and assessed. Stop on by their café and try a cup for yourself or pick up a bag or 2 to take home. This coffee is not to be missed.
