Berkshire International Film Festival Turns Ten

By Kelley Vickery

A decade?  It is hard to believe the BIFF has been around for 10 years!  The Berkshire International Film Festival, affectionately known as the BIFF, is a world-class festival that is an integral part of the cultural fabric of the Berkshires.  BIFF showcases not only the latest in independent feature, documentary, short and family films but also offers lively panel discussions and special events focusing on filmmakers and talented artists from both sides of the camera.

BIFF is excited to once again bring an array of films and events to the Berkshire community and looks forward to sharing a festival that will entertain, challenge, engage, inspire and amaze all visitors and residents alike on May 28 – 31.  One of the things people love most about the BIFF, is the diversity of films that our filmmakers bring to the Berkshires.  Each year we cultivate film from around the world to reflect our ever-changing, ever-growing, and ever-hopeful global community. Each Spring, BIFF brings together dozens of filmmakers and industry professionals to our engaged community to watch a well-curated selection of nearly 80 films to inspire, educate, and entertain.

This year, BIFF will take you on journeys to India, Krgykistan, Spain, Argentina, France, England, Argentina, Columbia, Egypt, Mexico, Germany and share our own stories in the beautiful Berkshire Hills.  With dozens of filmmakers in attendance and so many varying subjects, BIFF allows you to engage in a different conversation, a different perspective, and a different adventure, to gain a fresh look on the human experience and our own individual exploration.

Whether you live here or want a weekend in the beautiful Berkshire hills, come join us at the BIFF!
