Online: Conversation with Professor Samuel Kassaw

Diversity and Inclusion, Literature, Lectures, and Talks, Online Event

January 23, 2025 | 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for an evening in conversation with renowned scholar Samuel Kassow (Trinity College) about his new translation of Rokhl Auerbach’s Warsaw Testament, published by the Center’s White Goat Press in 2024.  Based on her wartime writings and participation in the secret Oyneg Shabes Archive in the Warsaw Ghetto, Auerbach’s memoir paints a vivid portrait of the city’s prewar Yiddish literary and artistic community and of its destruction at the hands of the Nazis. The program is presented as part of the Yiddish Book Center’s Great Jewish Books Club.
