The US has endless options for incredible family experiences!
Living in New York gives us easy access to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. The Berkshires is the rural region in the western part of Massachusetts. It is full of mountains and picturesque villages and towns. I like to describe it as those beautiful country scenes you see in jigsaw puzzles. I had always heard from friends that the Berkshires as a great place to go skiing. But since we aren’t big ski fans, it never came to mind as a possible road trip.
Boy was I wrong! The Berkshires is only a 3-hour ride from where we live in NY. We had the opportunity to experience all that the Berkshires has to offer in mid-October. Not only is the foliage spectacular, but it also’s incredibly family-friendly, has delicious farm to table restaurants, and full of culture. Here are our favorite shots from the trip. We had such a great time, and we can’t wait to go back!
