Simon, Mikey, Otto, Everett, Chapman, Jack, Abby, Harley, Oliver, Lowkey, Little Man, Bug, Princess… these are just a few of the pets I have met while out on the road, learning about BVB Members’ businesses and lives. From a dog that mascots the Pittsfield Veterinary Hospital to a pair of Bull Dogs that greet every customer at 413 Glassworks; a fluffy white cat that chose her owner at the Egremont Country Club to a tiny teacup Chihuahua at Pine Cone Hill. You already may know the celebrity tuxedo cat at the Red Lion Inn that has his own Facebook page! I love visiting BVB Members and meeting their furry brood. Members’ stories aren’t complete without learning about their pets. I get it. My animals are family members too. When I am driving to meet with a Member and learn about their business, I hope they have an animal I can meet. I adore an overbearing cat. I appreciate an exceptionally hairy dog. (An outfit isn’t complete without some cat or dog hair). When I get home, my beagles instantly know I’ve cheated and a remedy biscuit is needed for each. My cat, well, he just continues to sleep.
Most days you can find Michelle Murphy, BVB Communications Associate, on the road visiting Members. Her visits help to keep the BVB staff updated on what’s new and offer’s Members a chance to share images and information through our various social media channels. Site visits usually last about 30-45 minutes and it is a great opportunity to educate the BVB staff so that they can inspire visitors to come and see you as well! To schedule a visit from Michelle, please email at [email protected] or call 413.743.4500, ext. 133.
